Welcome to the online portfolio of Mike Tam - industrial designer, illustrator, novelist and all-around creative type.

Firedrake Creative (FDC) is my design studio, with interests in fields as diverse as film, internet video, illustration, creative writing and product design.

FDC's film and internet video endeavours include writing scripts, creating concept art, costume designs and props, as well as producing and editing video compositions.

My illustration work includes logo design, drawing cartoon strips and informative illustrations, and can currently be seen in Mental Notes magazine.

I also work with leather, wood and fabric, designing and fabricating hand-made custom goods.

As a serial collector of skills, I pride myself on being able to take a hands-on role in every stage of the design and fabrication process.
